HABITAT RESTORATION
Some of our restoration efforts include:
Creation of turtle beaches and wetland habitat
Adding logs in wetland habitat for basking turtles, toads, and birds
Placing nest boxes to enhance habitat for birds, insects, and mammals
Building fences to minimize the chance of road mortalities for the Western Toad and other species
Limiting access to important nesting and shelter habitat
Planting native plants to increase shoreline integrity and reduce the growth of non-native species
Helping the community increase habitat quality in their backyards to promote local wildlife (ponds, flower beds, etc.)
